Don’t think I’ll be able to survive sitting 8 hours at work today without getting up every hour to stretch my poor, abused back. Fried my brain working hours and hours yesterday on Adobe Flash for our Who Crack video for Gallifrey, but MAN, did it come out AMAZING looking! The special “countdown” opening and surprise credits sequence premiered to a cheering crowd of the household denizens, Kristen and her BF Chris Mitchell (who has now been upgraded to a “husband” status in our end credits, lol!). Crossing my fingers it looks good on the beta run Kristen and I are doing tonight. If it does, I will be blitzing Facebook, LiveJournal and Twitter with teasers right up until the big day of our world premiere on Gallifrey Friday.

Darkwin Duck…the Time Lord?!?
Got from LiveJournal: at this point in the series (issue #8), Darkwing Ducks from various parallel universes have been causing all sorts of chaos. They range from characters in other Disney shows to ones from popular culture. This was on the first page of the issue. A day late to celebrate Tom Baker’s birthday, but awesome, nonetheless!

Karen Gillan and Steven Moffat attended the annual Radio Times Covers party last night, hosted by David Tennant. The party celebrates all it’s cover stars from the past 12 months. Matt was not in attendance, but Karen had 2 covers and Steven was there for the new Dalek cover.

BBC Worldwide launches a channel for Classic Doctor Who on YouTube
2|entertain had announced plans to launch the channel in January. Yesterday a press release was put out by the BBC Worldwide press office announcing the launch of the channel:
BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, will be launching a Classic Doctor Who channel on YouTube on 4th January.The new channel, featuring a mixture of classic clips and exclusive previews from forthcoming Doctor Who DVD releases, will appeal to existing fans and give new viewers an opportunity to sample some classic Doctor Who. The channel will complement the Classic Doctor Who Twitter account @classicdw run by 2entertain.
Jo Warren, Head of UK & Ireland Sales says, “We’re really looking forward to giving Classic Doctor Who its own home on YouTube. It will be a great space for fans to discuss Classic Who – we’re launching with some fantastic clips and we’ll be regularly adding to the collection!”
Classic Doctor Who Brand Manager Dan Hall comments, “I’m delighted to join forces with our digital team and YouTube. This is an exciting, new way to deliver content for our net-hungry market.”
Classic Doctor Who will launch on YouTube with over 45 clips dating from the first episode, along with new Meglos clips and an exclusive clip previewing the new Doctor Who Meglos DVD boxset which will be released by 2entertain on 10th January. Meglos stars Tom Baker and was originally broadcast in 1980.
